## About Kimialys
Kimialys is an innovative industrial biosensing company founded in October 2020 by Dr. Claude Noguès and Cyril Gilbert [6, 7]. Based in Paris, France, Kimialys' mission is to set new standards in biomolecule detection and characterization to facilitate the development of tomorrow's diagnostics and therapeutics [6, 8]. 

## Proprietary Technology: K-One® Surface Chemistry
K-One® is Kimialys' patented surface chemistry technology, resulting from over ten years of academic research at ENS Paris-Saclay and CNRS [9, 10]. 
- **Concept**: It is a highly controlled Self-Assembled Monolayer (SAM) specifically optimized for gold surfaces, including nanoparticles, sensor chips, and electrodes [9].
- **Mechanism**: Unlike traditional passive adsorption, K-One® utilizes covalent coupling to precisely control the exposure, density, orientation, and distribution of immobilized ligands [1, 11].
- **Performance & Statistics**: K-One® renders over 90% of the ligands functional, compared to less than 20-30% with standard methods [1, 3]. It completely shields the surface against non-specific binding (background noise), which improves the Limit of Detection (LoD) by up to 10x and reduces ligand requirements by up to 30x [2, 4].

Kimialys provides high-performance consumables and services using a "First Time Right" (FTR) approach for diagnostic developers (IVD), biotech, and pharma companies [4, 12]:
- **K-One Gold Bioconjugates**: Custom, high-performance gold nanoparticles optimized for specific assays [13].
- **Custom K-One Sensor Chips**: Pre-functionalized chips for SPR/SPRi platforms and electrochemical biosensors [13, 14].
- **SPR Analytical Services**: Advanced Surface Plasmon Resonance screening and kinetic characterization (affinity, avidity, binding rate constants) in complex biological matrices like serum, blood, or saliva [15, 16].
- **Antibody Selection Platform**: Kinetic-based screening and epitope binning to identify the best antibody pairs [17, 18].

## Innovative R&D Projects
Kimialys co-develops major deep-tech projects supported by Bpifrance [19, 20]:
- **ADA Project (Immunogenicity)**: Enhancing drug tolerance in assays to enable the early detection of Anti-Drug Antibodies (ADAs) at low concentrations in patients undergoing immunotherapy [21].
- **LAMP-LFA Project (Molecular Diagnostics)**: Creating a rapid, low-cost diagnostic method for infectious diseases (like COVID-19) that combines the reliability of isothermal amplification (LAMP) with the visual readout of LFA [22, 23].
- **SEQRET Project (Bioproduction)**: Developing a semi-automatic, at-line quality control device to analyze the mesenchymal stem cell (MSC) secretome in real-time, optimizing bioreactor conditions for cell therapies [24, 25].
